I kid you not - I just had an Opossum up scrunging for leftovers ( I hadn't put any dog food down yet after the pizza) AND I had a Bobcat come up at the same time (about 2:30 into the vid) - Not a hint of fighting - just hanging out, fiendly -- 35lbs of Gray Bubba Raccoon laying in my bedroom door (wide open - he's on a blanket this evening) and no-one even growled or hissed or nothing!!! Now that, to me is amazing and amusing at the same time

Jan 29, 2012 - It's the kind of bobs we get around here -- Gotta remember I'm in South Florida - That one was young - maybe 17-18 pounds... Full grown down here the biggest they get is maybe 25lbs if they can find enough food

Jan 29, 2012 - I know, but that is definitely not a bobcat There are no bobcats that are marked like that with white across their chest and on both back legs. Please don't take this as rude, but I know my bobs Been studying them for 20 years and own one. I am familiar with all the bob subspecies. There is no bob marked like that. I would bet my life, my house, everything I own on it. You can send the vid to your div of nat resources and they will tell you also. Just a domestic. Take a look at my bob..

Jan 30, 2012 - Around here they crossbreed with the feral cats.... and I've even seen one litter crossed with Jaguarundi.... I dont take it as rude... We (Floridians/Southern folk) still call em bobs if they have the little shorty tail -- If they have the long tail then they aint a bob.... You aint rude... you just didn't know - Southern logic=shorty tail it's a bob

Jan 31, 2012 - Thank you. That makes sense. That is quite a sight to see those two species together without a fight or anything.

Jan 28, 2012 - That wasn't a bobcat but definitely an opossum. Bobs don't have white like that on their back legs and they are quite a bit larger.
