Nov 10, 2011 - Got a question. I live in a 3 story house with a fuse box in the basement (8 fuse slots) & another fuse box in the attic (4 fuse slots). I want to disconnect the power in the attic since our wiring is old, & i took the 4 fuses out of the box & it cut the power to all of the 3rd and 2nd floor, except for a light in the bathroom. I was trying to find which fuse slots powered the 2nd floor, but nothing came back on until i put all 4 fuses back in. Why is that? how can i cut power to the 3rd floor?
