In preparation for the SkillsUSA competition that is approaching, my teammate (Matt Why) and I were given 8 hours to create and animate a simplified ACTI gasification system unit in 3d. We rendered the video with about 13 minutes to spare. Hope we do well in the competition!EDIT: We got 3rd place in the competition!Program Used: Autodesk's 3ds MaxCreated By:Me (Jack Shuler)Matt Why (My teammate)Here is the picture we were given to work off of:http://www.sambrasuper.com/technologyINSTRUCTIONS:Create an animation demonstrating the following process.Process Flow description:1. The feed valve opens between the material bin chute and the auger.2. The auger then pushes the material into the fills and conversion chamber.3. Once the filling process is complete the valve closes and the burner ignites.4.. The conversion chamber is heated up to 750ºF (400ºC) to 1000ºF (540ºC)depending on the nature of the waste material.5. The waste material becomes exothermic generating its own energy depending on its BTU value.6. The exothermic material will continue heating the conversion chamber up to 950ºF (510ºC) to 1050ºF (565ºC).7. The conversion chamber is automatically maintained at a constant negative pressure using a high pressure blower. The gasses from the chamber are pulled through a particle cleanup cyclone, pollutant clean up venture and liquefaction system which pumps directly to a pressurized holding tank that feeds the system combustor. In some applications, the process re-circulates gaseous combustible products directly to the system combustor providing partial self-fueling in the process.8. The condensed vapors from the condenser are drained off or pumped away for additional processing.9. As the exothermic energy from the waste material is used, the conversion chamber begins to indicate higher negative pressures signaling the end of the cycle.10. All left over material consisting of Carbon and ashes are released through the discharge valve and are transferred via the auger to a holding container.11. The discharge valve closes and the feed opens starting the entire cycle over again.
