I've had this baby BiOrb for 7 months. The bulb went out once. The tank is unheated and seems ok at room temp (about 65 - 80 deg). Maintenance has been minimal and as long as I change the filter regularly, perform bi-weekly 10% water change and otherwise follow the Reef One's instructions. Real plants introduced too much algae for my warm climate. This tank is at max capacity with four neon tetras and two Red Fire guppies. As soon as I get a bigger tank, I'll move the guppies because they may be a little cramped.
