Our new bathtub from BathFitter. Took the guy four hours to take out the ugly old tub surround, replace some of the wet drywall at the bottom, move the shower head up about 12", install the new Moen faucet, install the tub surround - it's taped to the wall with super sticky stuff - then install the tub itself over the old yellow/cream one, caulk and install the funky tub plug.The bathroom just zoomed from 1983 (the guy who did the renovation had signed & dated the drywall behind the medicine cabinet, which is now gone) and into the 21st century.OK, so it's not all marble and glass but dang it's so much better! And these BathFitter tubs are WAY easy to keep clean.

Mar 26, 2012 - @MrVacationLover Do not get bathfitters they suck. The caulk they use to seal is shit and once you replace it your warranty is void. My tub caulk got moldy 2 months after install and the was bowed in spots. They said another $1000 to repair because I replaced their crap caulk with good caulk. They are scams.

Apr 6, 2012 - this is a scam the tub insert will start to mold very quickly they will not warranty their work and will find a reason not to replace it. A toxic mold spore forms between the tub and insert.
